Chievo: 'We've chosen Sannino'

Chievo confirmed Giuseppe Sannino will be their new Coach “as soon as he resolves his problems with Palermo.”

The Flying Donkeys parted company with Eugenio Corini by mutual consent after securing safety this season.

Although no new boss has been appointed yet, director of sport Giovanni Sartori insisted it’s just a matter of protocol.

“We have chosen our new Coach, it will be Sannino. As soon as he resolves his problems with Palermo, he will be our tactician from July 1,” Sartori told TMW.

“The renewal talks with Sergio Pellissier are at an advanced stage. Cyril Thereau is also a Chievo player and we hope nobody will ask us for him, but if they do then we’ll give him the opportunity to move on.

“We already have a deal with Fiorentina for Acosty, it’s just a matter of formalising the loan with option to buy 50 per cent.

“Chievo have been tracking Libor Kozak for three years, but Lazio won’t give him to us.”
