Sampdoria have admitted Italian Under-21 international Manolo Gabbiadini is on their transfer radar.

“We do like him,” sporting director Carlo Osti told Live News Sport. “However, he is co-owned by Atalanta and Juventus.

“We’ll have to wait and see how that situation is resolved.”

The striker is wanted by a number of outfits after spending the 2012-13 campaign on loan with Bologna.

Osti was again also asked about the future of Simone Zaza, a forward who scored 18 goals in Serie B with Ascoli in the past campaign.

“There has been too much talk about Zaza,” the former Lecce official responded. “Right now our priorities are the players who we co-own.

“That’s also because Zaza is a player who is contracted to us until 2014. Saying that, if he does leave then we’ll need two strikers.”

Doria have already done a deal with Inter which will see Argentine forward Mauro Icardi move to San Siro.
