Cesare Prandelli hailed Italy’s performance against Mexico, but warned Mario Balotelli “has to stop showing off his muscles.”

The Azzurri beat Mexico 2-1 in the Confederations Cup opener with Andrea Pirlo’s free kick and a Balotelli strike.

“The emotions were beforehand, as during the game we were concentrated, wanted to win and achieved that with some excellent football. We are very happy,” the Coach told Rai Sport.

“When you prepare games and have the legs, I don’t say it becomes easy, but you know what to do. Today we knew exactly what to do.”

Pirlo scored on his 100th cap, but Balotelli was booked for whipping off his shirt to celebrate.

“There are no more words for Andrea, just a huge embrace and round of applause. As for Mario, he’s got to stop showing off his muscles, because the yellow cards do count.”
