Inter chief Massimo Moratti claims the club have no plans to sell Andrea Ranocchia or Fredy Guarin.

The two players have been linked with San Siro exits, even if the Colombian midfielder yesterday committed his future to the Beneamata.

“Ranocchia won’t leave,” the Nerazzurri President stated on Tuesday. “Ranocchia is one of the best Italians that we have in defence and he’s an Italian international too.

“Guarin? His words were welcomed. He is one of the most requested players on the market, but he’s one of the players who we are counting on the most too.”

The Giuseppe Meazza outfit are expected to make some notable changes to the squad after the appointment of Walter Mazzarri, a man who is being tipped to use a 3-4-1-2 system.

“I got a positive impression,” Moratti stated when asked about the tactician’s words at his official unveiling.

“He seems to be, as we thought, a concrete person. Now we are working to understand how we can complete the squad for him.

“We’ll see which players will leave and which players can be brought in to fit in with the system which Mazzarri uses.”
