Ilicic wanted in Germany

Palermo are in transfer negotiations with an unnamed German club about the sale of Josip Ilicic.

“President Maurizio Zamparini has told me that he is talking to a Bundesliga side, but he didn’t tell me their name,” agent Amir Ruznic told Radio Blu.

“At the moment I am in Slovenia and I know nothing more. Ilicic will definitely leave, but I don’t know where he will go.”

The 25-year-old, 10 goals in 31 League games over the past campaign, is available following the club’s relegation to Serie B.

The midfielder, paired with Bayer Leverkusen, has also been linked with Napoli, Milan, Roma and Fiorentina.

“I’ve not been told of any Viola interest in him and I haven’t spoken to them,” added the representative.

“But he could integrate well into the football of Fiorentina boss Vincenzo Montella.”
