Genoa President Enrico Preziosi doesn’t expect to make a decision on the club’s coaching situation during the next week.
“Everything can happen in seven days, but I don’t think anything will occur this week,” he told TMW on Monday. “We’ll see…”
The Rossoblu are considering their options after being involved in another relegation dog fight in the Italian top flight.
Preziosi is as yet undecided whether to keep Davide Ballardini at Marassi or replace him with another tactician.
The port club, who sacked Gigi De Canio and Gigi Del Neri in 2012-13, have a number of possible candidates if they do opt for another switch.
Preziosi has admitted that he could be tempted to recall Del Neri seeing as he still has a year left on his contract.
However, Palermo’s Giuseppe Sannino, former Chievo Coach Eugenio Corini and ex-Lazio midfielder Fabio Liverani could be approached.
