Juan Fernando Quintero’s future is reportedly close to being determined, with negotiations between Pescara and Genoa described as advanced.
The young Colombian has caught the eye in flashes of play during Pescara’s relegation campaign in Serie A last season.
Linked with the likes of Inter and Juventus, it was thought that Porto had an advantage in negotiations.
However, reports in Italy this week suggest that Genoa are in the boxseat for the 20-year-old, thanks to a strong relationship between their President Enrico Preziosi and his Delfini counterpart Daniele Sebastiani.
It is believed that because of this, the Grifone have reached an agreement to take a 50 per cent share in Quintero, for an unspecified fee.
