“After the goal I wanted to run towards the bench, but everyone came running at me and I was blocked by all the hugs,” said Lulic on Lazio Style Radio.
“It has been two days since the Final and I still can’t believe it. This was just an incredible evening. I finally realised what the Rome Derby means when I saw everyone in tears – not just the fans, but the players and kit staff too.
“The day after the game people would stop me in the street and kiss my right foot, the one I used to score the goal!
“I only got the goal, so I really don’t deserve all the credit for the victory. This whole team made history.”
