Argentina legend Diego Armando Maradona has backed Gonzalo Higuain to be an instant hit in Serie A if he joins Juventus.
The Real Madrid striker is of interest to the Italian champions who have allegedly already agreed personal terms with him.
“If Higuain becomes a Juventus player, and if he is given the chance to play regularly, then I’m sure that he will be the Serie A top scorer next season,” said the Napoli great.
Maradona knows the 25-year-old well as he called him up for the national side while he was in charge of La Albiceleste.
The former No 10 selected the ex River Plate man for the 2010 World Cup and the centre-forward responded with four goals in four games.
Higuain has netted 19 goals in 32 games for his country.
