UEFA have confirmed that Maltese official Marco Borg will be in charge for Italy’s game against San Marino next Friday.
The Azzurri face their neighbours in a friendly match at Bologna’s Stadio Renato Dell’Ara on Friday May 31.
And the governing body have announced that the 41-year-old referee will be the man in the middle.
Borg has only officiated one World Cup qualifier this term, being put in charge for Bosnia’s 8-1 win over Lichtenstein.
