Juan Fernando Quintero infuriated Pescara by saying goodbye on Twitter when he hasn’t been sold yet.
The creative midfielder was meant to be their star player this season, but barely featured in 2013 after returning from the Under-20 South American Cup with an injury.
Today he took to Twitter in order to say goodbye to the fans and thank them “for giving me such a warm welcome. I will always hold you in my heart.”
The timing of the message was a problem, as Quintero has not yet been sold, nor does there appear to be a deal in place with any other club.
It’s reported Pescara President Daniele Sebastiani is furious with the Colombian talent, who has no intention of staying after their relegation to Serie B.
Among others, Quintero has been linked with Manchester United, Juventus, Fiorentina, Napoli, Roma and Atletico Madrid.
