The transfer saga has been dragging on for months, as the Bianconeri had an agreement in place for the 17-year-old son of Brazil star Bebeto.
However, Flamengo and the player were furious when Juventus failed to provide the final piece of paperwork and even an extended deadline appears to have been ignored.
“I haven’t signed yet, but there are only a few details left,” Mattheus told Globoesporte, referring to a contract extension.
“I always said I’d only leave Flamengo if the club reached a deal with Juventus, but that didn’t happen.”
