“In the first hour we had put Genoa under pressure and they really struggled to make an impact, so we had the sensation we’d win eventually,” said the Coach.

“We were dangerous on numerous occasions, but in the final half-hour Genoa’s attitude changed. Maybe it was because news was filtering through that Palermo had taken the lead.”

“I really like Cagliari for their players and the type of football they use. I expect them to be psychologically free of pressure and eager to play their game.

“It will take a determined, focused and gritty Chievo to bring home the points so we can celebrate our safety.
