Torino forward Riccardo Meggiorini denied racially abusing Paul Pogba during the Turin Derby. “It was a perfectly normal insult.”
Juventus midfielder Pogba complained during the match, which the Bianconeri won 2-0, that Meggiorini had aimed a racist epithet at him.
“There was an insult, but it was a perfectly ‘normal’ one, the kind you get in football,” insisted Meggiorini.
“Pogba shouldn’t start crying and moaning if someone says something to him. I get insulted too, but I don’t complain, because in football certain things are normal.
“It’s not really a story as far as I am concerned and I am far more upset about losing the derby.”
