Cagliari have had yet another appeal to replay their abandoned match with Roma rejected, so the 3-0 defeat remains.

The Serie A game was meant to go ahead in September, but was called off the same day when Cagliari President Massimo Cellino urged fans to attend despite the order to play behind closed doors.

There were fears for public safety and Cagliari were penalised for creating the situation, so lost the game 3-0.

The club has been going through numerous appeals ever since in a bid to have the game played on the pitch, but every one has been rejected.

Today their appeal to the TAR tribunal was also turned down, but it’s reported Cellino is already planning to take the matter to the State tribunal.

Cagliari have since abandoned the Is Arenas stadium due to these problems, as it repeatedly failed security checks.
