Atalanta striker Marko Livaja has his eye on winning his first cap with the Croatian national side.

The 19-year-old, who left Inter in a co-ownership deal in January, believes that Bergamo is the right stage to blossom.

“I’m happy at Atalanta,” he told Sport Net. “If I am able to play and score in Serie A with regularity then, sooner or later, there will be space for me in the national side.

“Although I know that there are great attackers ahead of me such as Mario Mandzukic and Eduardo, I do not have any fear.”

The Croatian Under-21 international has scored two goals in seven games since his move at the start of 2013.
