Fiorentina director of sport Daniele Pradè claims his team “were being robbed” by the referee before two penalties secured a 2-2 draw with Milan.

The Viola went down to 10 men before the break when Nenad Tomovic was harshly sent off for an elbow on Stephan El Shaarawy as they were running side by side.

“At the end of the first half we were being robbed, but today we fought with heart and are happy it ended like this,” Pradè told Radio Blu.

“After all that, we even risked a victory at the end of the game. We proved that there are strong foundations here and we play wonderful football.

“There are seven rounds left and many points up for grabs, so why not aim higher than the Europa League places? We are up there. The fans were amazing today, they gave me goosebumps.”

The crowd were a little too passionate, as at half-time Milan Vice-President Adriano Galliani had to go into the locker rooms to watch the rest of the match.

Some angry supporters tried to invade the VIP box, which at the Stadio Franchi is surrounded by the fans, and had to be stopped by Mayor of Florence Renzi.
