M'Baye Niang has admitted that his first season at Milan has gone 'beyond expectations'.

The French youngster joined the Rossoneri from Caen last summer, making 14 League appearances for Massimiliano Allegri's team this term.

And the 18-year-old has conceded that he did not expect to play so often, whilst also commenting on which players have impressed during his debut campaign.

“It has gone beyond all my expectations,” he told Forza Milan. “I'm still young. I thought I would acclimatise and try to understand calcio.

“Instead the Coach has given me confidence immediately. I am very happy about that.

“El Shaarawy has impressed me so much. The same goes for Boateng and Balotelli.”
