Devis Mangia has named his squad for the Italy Under-21 side’s friendlies against Russia and Ukraine, including Ascoli starlet Simone Zaza.
The Azzurrini will welcome Russia to Cittadella on March 22, kick-off at 20.00 GMT.
They then take on Ukraine at Bassano del Grappa’s Stadio Mercante on March 25, starting at 17.30 GMT.
Nicola Leali and Ascoli hitman Zaza get their debut call-ups for the Under-21 side, while Newcastle United’s Davide Santon returns to this level after a spell with the senior Italy squad.
