Rolando Maran says Catania “will continue to dream” of Europe after their 3-1 victory over Udinese.
The Elefantini have temporarily overtaken Roma to go into seventh place and are the becoming the ‘new’ Udinese by scaring the big clubs.
“We had come off two consecutive defeats, but today earned a wonderful victory over a great side,” said the Coach.
“We are improving our position in the standings and will continue to dream. The team knows what it wants and proves that on the field with hard work. Without that, we wouldn’t be in this position.
“In the first half Udinese closed down the spaces and didn’t allow us to play. With a few adjustments during the break, we were able to find these three goals.”
This is Maran’s debut Serie A season and he has already been linked with the Napoli job next year.
“There was never anything in it. I am concentrated solely on Catania, as we want to finish this campaign on a high.”
