Marco Giampaolo is in talks with Pescara about becoming their new boss, but agreeing terms is taking some time.
The Delfini, after being rejected by Giovanni Galeone, are targeting the 45-year-old following the sacking of Cristiano Bergodi at the weekend.
Pescara chief Daniele Sebastiani offered the tactician a contract until the end of the season which Giampaolo rejected.
The former Ascoli, Cagliari and Siena man wants a longer-term contract so he can feel a part of a project.
Giampaolo is ideally looking for terms until June 2015, but Pescara may respond with an offer until June 2014.
Giampaolo has already worked for the club, firstly as a scout and then as an assistant Coach. He hasn’t coached since sacked by Cesena in October 2011.
