Pescara ready to sack Bergodi

There are strong reports Pescara will sack Coach Cristiano Bergodi to bring in Cristian Bucchi.

The Delfini are joint bottom of the table after today’s 1-0 home defeat to Udinese, which left them on 21 points from 27 games.

Bergodi had only been brought in on November 20 following Giovanni Stroppa’s resignation.

It is reported that Pescara have decided to wield the axe and hire Bucchi, who is currently Coach of the Primavera youth team.

Bucchi is a 35-year-old tactician who only retired in 2011, ending his playing career at Pescara.

He is most famous for playing as a striker with the likes of Perugia, Ascoli, Napoli, Bologna and Cesena.
