Marek Hamsik insists Napoli can still win the Scudetto even after last night’s 1-1 draw with leaders Juventus.
That result maintained the gap at the top to six points, though Juve also now have the advantage in a head-to-head record.
“The distance between us remains the same, but the end of the season is still a long way off,” wrote the Slovak midfielder on his official website.
“We started the game well, then reacted to find the equaliser after their goal. We tried to double our tally, but were unable to do so. There is still a long way to go this term.
“The atmosphere at the San Paolo was wonderful thanks to our fantastic fans, such as that initial choreography.”
The supporters held up thousands of coloured squares to create a mosaic of the sea and Vesuvius, complete with flares lit up to symbolise the volcano erupting.
