The patron was accused of fraud and embezzlement of funds with regards to the construction of the Is Arenas stadium in Quartu Sant’Elena.

The patron was accused of fraud and embezzlement of funds with regards to the construction of the Is Arenas stadium in Quartu Sant’Elena.

He had been given the all-clear to go under house arrest, but refused by claiming he would only leave as a free man.

However, Cellino appears to have changed his mind, as he left the Buoncammino prison this afternoon at 16.00 GMT.

According to reports, he will take his house arrest in a rehab and recovery centre in Villamassargia, in Sulcis
