It is now official that Milan are without Mario Balotelli and Philippe Mexes for tomorrow night’s match against Lazio.
Coach Massimiliano Allegri had warned in his Press conference that they would “99.9 per cent” likely to miss Balotelli after he bruised his shin in a collision with Inter goalkeeper Samir Handanovic last week.
The 20-man squad has now been released for the Saturday evening game and Balotelli’s name is not included.
Daniele Bonera, Kevin Constant, Bojan Krkic, Luca Antonini and Nigel De Jong are also absent due to injury, though Mathieu Flamini and Robinho return.
Mexes misses out on a one-match ban, so there are reports January signing Bartosz Salamon will make his debut.
Milan squad for Lazio: Abbiati, Amelia, Gabriel, Abate, De Sciglio, Salamon, Yepes, Zaccardo, Zapata, Ambrosini, Boateng, Flamini, Montolivo, Muntari, Nocerino, Traorè, El Shaarawy, Niang, Pazzini, Robinho
