Sampdoria owner Edoardo Garrone has claimed that only he will decide when, or if, Mauro Icardi will leave the club.
The Argentine forward has been heavily linked with a move to Inter at the end of the current campaign.
But the Bluerchiati chief has insisted that he wants to create a winning team at the Marassi.
“I will decide at the appropriate time,” he told Blitz Quotidiano. “When I do I'll have to put aside my heart because a chairman cannot be influenced by the supporters.
“I will have to use my head [when considering his departure].
“But I want to strengthen the Sampdoria team too. I like winning.”
