Montella to replace Mazzarri?

If Walter Mazzarri walks away when his contract expires in June, it’s reported Napoli are targeting Vincenzo Montella.

The current Coach has repeatedly refused to discuss a contract extension until the season has concluded, even though the deal runs out on June 30.

The Partenopei are looking around at other options in case Mazzarri does decide to take a Sabbatical or leave for a new experience.

According to SportMediaset, the prime candidate for the job is Fiorentina Coach Montella.

He would be a very popular solution, as Montella is from the Naples area and has impressed with his results at Roma, Catania and now Fiorentina.

Montella also uses the same 3-5-2 approach that Mazzarri has constructed Napoli on over the last few years.

The only stumbling block would be the Viola, who have stated Montella is leading a long-term project in Florence.
