Brescia stopper Sebastien De Maio has confirmed that there is a chance that he’ll move to Genoa in the summer.

The defender, who will turn 26 in March, will be available on a free transfer once his contract with the Serie B club expires in June.

“The club have made me an interesting offer,” the Frenchman told Il Secolo XIX. “We’re evaluating it. We’ll see how things develop in the hope that things can soon become official.”

Genoa are currently fighting to avoid relegation, but De Maio is confident that the Rossoblu will still be a Serie A club next season.

“The squad is solid,” he added. “I think, and I really hope, that they will survive the drop.”
