Milan boss Massimiliano Allegri has claimed that Mario Balotelli was 'unfortunate' against Inter yesterday.

The 22-year-old was foiled in his attempt to score against his old club on a number of occasion on Sunday.

And the Rossoneri chief has revealed that the Italy international was desperate to do well.

“Mario is 22 and grew up at Inter, “ he told reporters. “He really wanted to do well yesterday.

“It was just unfortunate that he didn't get on the scoresheet.”
