Inter chief Massimo Moratti has admitted that he’s surprised by how good a goalkeeper Samir Handanovic is.
The Slovenian international moved to the San Siro in the summer from Udinese, despite the fact that the club already had Julio Cesar in their ranks at the time.
“I have to say, in all honesty, that he is performing beyond expectations,” Moratti stated the day after the 1-1 draw with Milan.
“Sometimes, he makes saves which are extraordinary – he made an incredible one last night. We are very satisfied with him and he’ll feel the same.”
Milan caused the Beneamata some difficulties last night, especially in the first half, but the Nerazzurri hit back to secure a point.
“I don’t think Milan have ever played as well this season as they did last night,” he continued. “They were really quick. We got it back in the second period.
“Boss Andrea Stramaccioni did well. He and the players did well to keep playing in a game that had psychologically turned pretty bad.”
