Roma may be eighth in the standings but Miralem Pjanic insists they can still qualify for next season’s Champions League.
Speaking after the 3-2 win at Atalanta, in which he scored, the midfielder has his eyes on a top-three finish this term.
“We are still distant from the Champions League zone,” the former Lyon player admitted to Il Messaggero.
“And we just have to take things one game at a time, but if we keep playing with this kind of desire then we can catch up with the teams who are ahead of us.”
Roma are five points behind third-placed Milan, although Lazio could go seven points clear of their city rivals with a win against Pescara on Monday.
