Ezequiel Lavezzi may be at Paris Saint-Germain, but he’s still cheering on Napoli, urged them to keep hold of Walter Mazzarri and admitted he could return to Italy.

“I often talk to Paolo Cannavaro, Marek Hamsik, Gianluca Grava, Gokhan Inler and the other Argentines at the club,” Pocho told the Corriere dello Sport.

“I like Paris, but I do admit that I miss Naples a bit. I’m still happy with the decision I made, even if I left a city that lives football so intensely.

“I received fantastic sensations and so much affection, whereas in Paris there is more freedom and I can live differently.

“Would I return to Serie A? I don’t know, I remain fascinated by Italian football and in future I could come back.”

Napoli are second in Serie A and just four points off leaders Juventus, so Lavezzi is cheering on his old teammates.

“If Napoli can fight for the Scudetto, the credit above all goes to Coach Mazzarri. Nobody else works with his level of attention and he was very important for my growth as a player.

“If he were to leave, it would take a lot away from Napoli. He built this team and made it a winning unit.”
