Sergio Floccari has advised his Lazio teammates to “clear their minds” of the humiliating defeat to Siena when facing Borussia Monchengladbach tomorrow.

The Biancocelesti were beaten 3-0 by bottom of the table Siena on Monday evening and were caught in third place by Milan.

On Thursday they welcome the German side at 18.00 GMT after a 3-3 first leg thriller in Monchengladbach.

“I urge everyone to clear their minds of the past. We must not make the Siena defeat more damaging than it already is,” warned striker Floccari.

“We know it was an ugly defeat, but we are a strong side who are fighting on every front.

“A particularly difficult match awaits us, but we have proved that we never give up. Our fans will give us a big helping hand.

“It is important to be aware we are challenging for three major competitions.”

Lazio are already in the Coppa Italia Final, where they’ll face either Inter or Roma in May.
