Juventus and Italy legend Alessandro Del Piero has agreed to sign a new deal with Australian outfit Sydney FC.
Del Piero joined the club in the summer after ending his 19-year relationship with the Old Lady of Italian football.
Despite interest from a number of Brazilian sides, the veteran has agreed to stay for another season with his present outfit.
The World Cup winner’s current contract includes an option for a second season that will expire on February 28.
Reports in Italy are suggesting that an official announcement will be made at some point on Thursday.
The 38-year-old Del Piero, who reportedly earns $2m a season, has scored 11 goals in 18 games for Sydney.
