Montella subsequently joined Fiorentina at the start of the present campaign.
“Montella is ready to boss a big club,” the former Genoa and Palermo official told Radio Toscana on Monday afternoon.
“He would do well in a club which was battling to win a League title, here in Italy or abroad,” Lo Monaco continued.
“He has great qualities and if he matures then he could look to get a job of the very highest level.”
The 38-year-old Montella is a former striker with the likes of Empoli” data-scaytid=”14″>Empoli, Genoa, Sampdoria” data-scaytid=”15″>Sampdoria, Roma, Fulham and Sampdoria.
