Miroslav Klose says he has no regrets about the offers he rejected in order to join Lazio in the summer of 2011.

The German international was targeted by a number of outfits given his availability on a free transfer after his Bayern Munich contract expired.

“I had offers from England, Germany and Turkey,” the 34-year-old told the Mundo Deportivo while in Spain for an awards ceremony.

“However, at the end of the day, my family and I chose Rome and Lazio. We are a great team and I get on well with my teammates.”

The German international also confirmed whispers that Barcelona wanted him before he left Werder Bremen for Bayern.

“I was very close to Barca in 2007,” he added. “It would have been nice as they are one of the best teams in the world.”

Klose, currently injured, has scored 22 goals in 47 Serie A games for the Biancocelesti.
