New Atalanta defender Matteo Contini has admitted that the club's fans were the reason he signed from Siena.
The 32-year-old joined on the last day of the January transfer window, and has claimed that he is delighted to play for Stefano Colantuono's men.
“Bergamo is always a place, in football terms, that has struck me,” he told a Press conference.
“The fans here are very passionate and feel a connection to the team.
“I like that, and I feel I can become a part of that style. I am ready to give my contribution to the team.
“I think we have the ability to do well – if the team is united, we can overcome any difficulty.”
