Napoli turned down the chance to sign Bartosz Salamon before the youngster put pen to paper on a Milan deal.

The Pole, who can play in defence or in midfield, joined the Diavolo last month for around €4m from Serie B side Brescia.

However, agent Mino Raiola has today told Radio CRC that he spoke to the Stadio San Paolo outfit about the 21-year-old.

“I offered Salamon to Napoli sporting director Riccardo Bigon, but he turned him down,” the representative noted.

“We have different opinions when it comes to players, but it is right that he does his job and I do mine.”
