Hernanes had been ruled out for a month after he was knocked unconscious, but there are reports the Lazio star is recovering quickly and could face Napoli on Saturday.
The midfielder suffered head trauma and some retrograde amnesia when he clashed heads with Juventus’ Luca Marrone during last Tuesday’s Coppa Italia semi-final.
He had initially been told he would probably not play for a month, but the Brazilian resumed light training today.
Hernanes will have another MRI scan tomorrow and a good result could see him passed fit to play on Saturday against Napoli.
Lazio need him back as soon as possible, having lost Miroslav Klose for two months with a knee injury.
