Hamsik: 'Napoli ignore Juventus'

Marek Hamsik helped Napoli go joint top of Serie A with a victory over Catania, but he assured “we are not thinking about Juventus.”

The two clubs are paired together on 49 points awaiting the Bianconeri’s lunchtime kick-off against Chievo.

“We knew this game would not be easy and you could tell in the first half-hour,” said Hamsik after the 2-0 win over Catania.

“Then we managed to break the deadlock and the goal right before half-time helped us to take home the victory.

“We are not thinking about Juventus, but only about ourselves and getting as many points as possible. We must not give up, so we’ll continue along this path right to the end.”

With his goal against Catania, Hamsik has now netted against all of the clubs currently in Serie A.

“I think I have many years ahead of me and can improve a great deal.”
