Faurlin 'always believed' in Palermo

Palermo’s new signing Alejandro Faurlin reveals he “always believed” the move from QPR would go through.

The Argentine midfielder completed his transfer on deadline day and insists he is “ready to play against Atalanta on Sunday.

“There are many Argentines in Palermo and that is a positive aspect that will help me to settle in quickly. My new teammates have been very helpful.

“It was a long negotiation process with my agent, but I always believed the move would go through.”

Good news for Gian Piero Gasperini, as his one-match touchline ban was revoked on appeal. Instead, he will pay a €10,000 fine.
