Anelka 'proud' to be at Juve

New Juventus striker Nicolas Anelka has claimed that he is delighted to have joined the Bianconeri.

The French forward has signed from Shanghai Shenua until the end of the season, and the 33-year-old has revealed that he already feels at home in Turin.

“I want to thank everyone for the warm welcome,” he told the club's official website. “I am happy to be here, at such a great club.

“I am very proud to wear this shirt. Some of my former teammates have told me what a great place this is – and as soon as I arrived in the locker room, I felt at home.

“Italian football is recognized throughout the world – there are some great players in this League and I know it's a very hard championship to win.

“I am happy to be in Italy at such a large club.

“Juventus have all the qualities to succeed in every competition.”
