Nocerino hasn’t snubbed Napoli

Milan’s Antonio Nocerino has never turned down a move to Napoli – because they’ve never made a bid for him.

Reports this week suggested that the Azzurri had offered him the chance to join the Stadio San Paolo outfit this month.

“My client is often linked with Napoli, but I want to make something very clear,” Marco Sommella told Radio CRC.

“Nocerino is Neapolitan, he has family at Santa Lucia, but he has never rejected an official offer from the Azzurri.

“The club haven’t contacted me and they haven’t contacted Milan who have been made no proposals for him.

“When Napoli want a player they are decisive, instead they have never established contact with us.

“Antonio takes it badly when he reads that he has rejected Napoli, but he’s never been asked for so he couldn’t have turned them down.”

The 27-year-old, 13 starts in Serie A this term, claimed on Monday that he intended to see out the season at San Siro.
