As Vasilis Torosidis flies in for a medical with Roma, the Olympiacos talent’s agent confirms “we were about to sign a contract with Fulham when the better offer came in.”

The right-back had been in advanced negotiations for a switch to Craven Cottage over the last few days, but there was a sudden change of plan.

“It’s true, we were about to sign a contract with Fulham when the better offer came in from Roma right at the last minute,” agent George Kazianis told Calciomercato.it.

Roma announced the agreement with Olympiacos this afternoon, thought to be worth €0.5m, and it’s reported he has already agreed a five-year contract at €2.5m.
