Astori focused on Cagliari survival

Wanted Cagliari stopper Davide Astori insists that he is fully focused on keeping his side in Serie A and not a future away from Sardinia.

The centre-back has been linked with a January move, with clubs such as Milan and Southampton linked with the Italian.

However, speaking after the 1-1 draw with Atalanta, the defender insisted that his mind is just on doing well for the Rossoblu.

“I’m very attached to Cagliari,” he stated. “As a result, I would make a decision on my future in accordance with the club if a concrete offer arrived.

“Nevertheless, I don’t really want to think about that. My only objective is to get enough points to make sure that Cagliari survive.”

Midfielder Radja Nainggolan has also committed his future to the Sardinian outfit after rumours of an exit this month.
