There are reports that Genoa have sacked Coach Gigi Del Neri to bring in Davide Ballardini after today’s 2-0 home defeat to Catania.
President Enrico Preziosi had already fired Gigi De Canio on October 24 to bring in Del Neri, but he failed to turn their season around.
Del Neri managed only two wins, two draws and nine defeats in his Serie A career at Genoa.
If Ballardini were to be called, it would be a return to Marassi, as he was also their Coach in 2010-11.
Ballardini arrived in November 2010, but was freed from his contract at the end of the season.
