Stefano Colantuono warned that Atalanta have to “watch out for Cagliari” in today’s relegation tussle.
Only three points separate these sides going into the match and neither team has been in great form lately. Click here for a match preview.
“Cagliari are a dangerous outfit, above all away from home, and they have a strike force that is definitely worth our respect,” said Coach Colantuono.
“We must take the initiative, but at the same time be focused so we don’t concede on the counter-attack with players like Marco Sau and Victor Ibarbo.
“We must continue to play, as even against Lazio I saw good signs despite the result. By repeating these performances, the results will have to come eventually.”
Colantuono also revealed the decision to go into an early pre-match training camp – ritiro – was made by the players themselves.
Carlos Carmona and Cristian Raimondi are suspended, joining the injured Stefano Lucchini, Ezequiel Schelotto, Giampaolo Bellini, Daniele Capelli and Guido Marilungo.
