Vladimir Petkovic concedes the draw “was the right result” at the end of an exciting 2-2 draw between Lazio and Palermo.
The Biancocelesti had taken the lead, went 2-1 down with two goals in as many minutes and Hernanes converted a late penalty.
“At the end of the day, the draw was the right result, as neither side deserved to lose this game,” said Petkovic.
There was also controversy, as Sergio Floccari had a goal incorrectly ruled offside when Lazio were 1-0 up.
“It was very difficult to judge, as it was a question of centimetres. These things can happen. The real problem was that after a while we went too deep, which is why we couldn’t play the way we wanted to.
“I adjusted the system at half-time to help the wings and play with three forwards. It went badly this time, which is a shame.
“It is true we struggle on our travels and ought to be more daring on our travels.”
Floccari has found the net for two games running and Petkovic was asked if the striker could play alongside Miroslav Klose too.
“Of course. Today he put in a lot of effort and showed how much he cares about the club, so he deserves to play in future.”
