'Palermo will be active in the market'

Palermo President Maurizio Zamparini has revealed that the club are trying to 'reshape the team' during the January transfer window.

The Rosanero have already signed Salvatore Aronica and Andrea Dossena this month, but the 72-year-old has claimed that there will be more new arrivals.

“Alongside [sporting director] Pietro Lo Monaco, we are trying to reshape this team,” he told Blog Sicilia.

“We are going to be very active in this market and are confident that we can secure more deals.”

He also commented on the upcoming match against Lazio, with reports suggesting that Coach Gian Piero Gasperini has only two games to save his job.

“We are confident, even if the game is a tough one. We should not feel despondent even if the result is negative – this is not a last resort.”
