January signing Paulo Vitor Barreto is delighted that Torino have finally ended his Udinese nightmare.
“It was difficult in Udine,” the Brazilian noted on Friday. “I had a few compatibility issues with some people there.
“I always put myself at the disposal of the club, but it is hard to stay in form when you don’t play that often.
“Torino? I’ve wanted to come to this club for about two years. Why did it take me so long? I cycled here…”
The forward has been a long-time target of the Turin club and he was specifically requested by Giampiero Ventura, his former boss at Bari.
“Ventura is a special person for me and I’m ready to give my contribution,” added the South American who was born in 1985.
“Signing for Torino was a liberation for me, but I wasn’t sure of anything until yesterday.”
